Julie Eva (Monty) Mitchell, 51, Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 after a brave fight against leukemia. A celebration of her life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2010 with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Julie was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who brought many smiles to everyone’s lives she touched. She is survived by her parents, James and Joanne Monty; son, Tony Mitchell (Jennifer); daughter, Stephani Mitchell; sisters, Jill Maloney (Russ) and Jan Monty; brothers, Jim Monty (Ellen) and John Monty; granddaughter, Rylee Mitchell; five nieces; two nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julie’s memory to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.

My co-workers and I knew Julie from the cafeteria at Sprint. She was a wonderful lady who always made funny comments to make us laugh. You are all in our prayers. There have been hundreds (literally) of people asking about her this week. We are so very sorry for your loss. May you have peace and love in your heart knowing that she is resting in heaven.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Monty Family and to Tony and Stephani.we will surely miss seeing Julie when we make our trips to Kansas to visit. She will as always be in our prayers.
