I smile when I think of Karen. She was always so nice to talk to. I will fondly remember Karen not only as Mitch’s mom, but as the lady who made the best snickerdoodle cookies ever!! She was a wonderful lady and will be dearly missed. My heart and tears go out to her entire family.

Jill, I am so sorry to hear about your mom–she was a class act, and I loved spending time with both of you in the early days when I’d come to KC. I’m terribly sorry I will be out of the country until Sunday; I wish I could be there for the visitation and funeral. Thinking of you and your family, and please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Dear Jill, Mitch and families, What a shock to learn of your mom’s unexpected passing. I’m her cousin who lives in Germany. Karen was one of the kindest people on the planet and I’m sure many people will cherish their memories of her. I was thrilled to be the flower girl at her wedding many years ago and am very thankful that I was able to visit with her in KC this past summer. You are in our thoughts. Donna and family

Karen was one of the best and loyal friends I ever had.My daughter lisa sent many happy hours at her house playing with Jill. When I broke my leg, she came over every day and brought me lunch. She was a caring person whom you could count on in time of need.

The cliche’ “BFF” best friends forever is what I am feeling. Karen was my true friend through our highs and our lows. I could count on her to be there in every way. I will miss her kindness, her smiles, her laughs, her truthfulness, and her lightheartedness. You never want to lose a friend like Karen. Betty
