Konrad Peters

Konrad Cyril Peters, 65, Hamilton, Ohio passed away March 23, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs, MO. Konrad was born March 25, 1938 in Devils Lake, ND, son of Joseph M. (SY) Peters and Walberga (Hannicker) Peters. He grew up in Devils Lake and graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1955. He attended St. John’s University in Minnesota, then returned to Devils Lake and married Nancy Toring in 1957. Sons Ken (1958) and John (1962) were born. He worked for Glickson’s Store for Men. They moved to Fargo where he sold insurance for a number of years and attended Moorhead State. He remarried to Carolyn Walberg of McLeod, ND in 1965, and daughter Kelly (1965) was born. Eventually they moved to Sioux Falls where he was in the insurance business, active in politics and the Shriners. He remarried to Jodi Kruse of Sioux Falls, SD in 1976. Later they lived in Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and then he alone settled in the Cincinnati area again working in sales and securities. The past four years he suffered from numerous cancers, surgeries and treatments. In february 2004 he moved to Pleasant Hill, Missouri to live with his daughter, Kelly. Survivors include: sons, Ken Peters and wife HaeJin of Belgrade, MT, John Peters of Fargo, ND; daughter Kelly Ruckman and husband Daron of Pleasant Hill, MO; sisters, Everyll MacDonald of Centerville, VA, Pat Warburton and husband Bob of Lemoyne, NE; brother, Jerry Peters and wife Marilyn of Devils Lake, ND; sister in law, Shirley Peters; and seven grandchildren, Kevin and Aisha Peters, Brittni Peters, and Logan, Connor, Keegan, and Paden Ruckman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Peters; and brother in law, Bill MacDonald.
