Lavita Ruth Renick, 88 of Raytown, MO, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008, peacefully at her home. Mrs. Renick would have turned 89 on November 18. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maude “Ruth” and George Paul Polster and her precious grandchildren; Melinda Renick and T.J. Smith III. Mrs. Renick is survived by her children, Charles G. Renick of the home, William “Bill” Renick of Raytown, his two children, Sybil L. Renick and Douglas W. Renick of California, daughter Sue Ann McGarry and her husband Mike McGarry of Shawnee, KS. She also is survived by her step grandson, Michael McGarry, his wife Teresa and great-grandchildren Amanda, and Christina of Shawnee, Kansas. Mrs. Renick is survived by her cousin Mary Ward, and husband Bob of Fort Worth, TX. As the long time matriarch of her family, Mrs. Renick will be missed everyday by her children, grandchildren and friends. Mrs. Renick requested cremation and private family services. The family will be celebrating her long loving life on November 15. If you wish to make a donation in Mrs. Renick’s name, a charity of your choice would be her wish.
