Lee Fonzo Culver, 81, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away June 14, 2003. Graveside services will he held 10:00 am, Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Lee’s Summit Cemetery, Lee’s Summit, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple. Mr. Culver was born June 26, 1921 in Yates Center, KS. He was an All Sports letterman at Yates Center High School. Lee was a WWII Army AirCorp Veteran. He retired in 1976 from the Terminal Railway Company after 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the Kansas City and Lee’s Summit Baptist Temples. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, bus driver, and church camp councelor. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Georgia Lou Culver, and son Jim Culver. Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Cappler, Raytown, MO; sons and daughters in law, Ron & Sally Culver, KCMO, David & CeCe Culver, Overland Park, KS; sister, Janie Allen, Carthage, MO; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
