Leigh Ann Cowgill, 41, of Columbia, MO, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the University of Missouri Hospital. Cremation has taken place and an Internment Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2009 at Memory Gardens in Amarillo, TX. Leigh was born on October 19, 1967 in Amarillo, TX, daughter of the late Thomas C. Anderson Sr. and Jean M. (Grant) Anderson. As a young girl Leigh was a straight A student, loved science and won the Spelling Bee in 5th Grade. One of her biggest accomplishments was going back to school and receiving her Associates Degree of Applied Science from Metro Business College in 2005 as their salutatorian. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Cowgill of Baltimore, MD; son, Spencer Cowgill of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Deedee Furrow of Jefferson City, MO; niece, Jessica Anderson of Fullerton, CA; and 2 nephews, Preston and Alec Furrow of Amarillo, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas C. Anderson Jr.
