Linda Marie Simon, 45, of Columbia, passed away Thursday April 5, 2007 at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital. A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Fifth Street Christian Church with the Rev. James Kimbro officiating. Linda was born on December 28, 1961 in Elmhurst, Illinois to John P. ?Jack? and Marguerite L. ?Kiki? (Little) Simon. Along with her loving son Jason Cunningham of Hays, Kansas, Linda is survived by her father Jack Simon and Wife Marianne, two sisters, Joan Cavanah and Jennifer Pirtle, two brothers, John and Larry Simon, step-brother Tom Pluschke, step-sister Linda Pluschke, and many other relatives and friends. Linda was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

Thank you, Linda, for the many, many hours we shared when we honestly opened up our hearts and poured out our hopes, fears, dreams and innermost sacred moments. May you now be at peace. I will always cherish our special friendship and will miss you. But I know for sure, you have found a greater, and far better place.

Hello I am Dan Simon’s son. I just wanted to send my condolences. I would have been down in Missouri for the service, but unfortanently my tour in Iraq has been extended. Therefore I am sending my condolences from 7000 miles away.
