Linda Yanks

Linda Sue Yanks, 55, Blue Springs, MO passed away January 26, 2006 at home. She was born November 10th 1950, Huntington Beach CA and was raised in Tarzana CA with parents Alfred and Doris Mertes and brothers, Richard, Martin and James. Linda married her long time neighbor Robert J. Yanks in 1976. She gave birth to three daughters, Lindsay, Marisa and Marcella Yanks. Linda resided and worked in Tarzana CA until retiring in October 2004 to Blue Springs Missouri with her daughter Marcella Noll and her family including husband Ricky Noll and grandchildren, Courtney, Paiten and Kaleb.Linda was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in May 2005 and fought bravely until her recent death. Family and friends would like to thank the staff of Kansas City Hospice whose expertise and caring nature allowed Linda to maintain her quality of life throughout her last days with us.Memorial Service will be held Sunday February 5th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO at 2-3:30 pm.Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. In leiu of flowers the family would like to request a donation be made in Linda’s name to Kansas City Hospice (need address of foundation) in return for the love and generosity their organization has shown to both our mother and our family. Linda was also the proud owner/mother of a beautiful black cat loving referred to as her son, Stewart Yanks. Stewy has become a staple member of our family and will greatly miss his mom as well!
