Marilda “Annie” Howard

Marilda "Annie" Howard, 71, passed away in her home in Gardner, KS, November 30, 2009.  Funeral services will be held at Conastoga Estates Clubhouse, 1199 E. Santa Fe, Gardner, Kansas, Friday December 4, 2009 at 5:00 pm.  Annie was born in Kansas City, KS on November 10, 1938 to Harold and Ruth McDougal.  The family made their home in Olathe, Kansas in 1954.  Annie resided in Gardner, Kansas.  Annie was an accomplished professional seamstress for many years which led  to a design patent of an orthopedic medical device.  Later she received a degree in floral design, but chose that as one of her many hobbies.  Many people believe her greatest accomplishment  was her natural ability to help others in their time of need while not even considering anything in return.  Annie was preceded in death by her father and mother.  She is survived by three sisters; three brothers; children, Tracy, Mark , Marty, Cindy and Janelle; eleven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.  Annie’s favorite is Kansas Society for Crippled Children, www.kssociety.org.

    Annie was a “Survivor” She was raised to know how to survive if & when necessary, and she did. We share lots of memories. Love Phyllis
