To be short, Mrs. Pratt was one of the teachers that truly inspired me. She was advisor for the SoBoCo high school newspaper, and really helped grow my love for journalism. I wish that I’d be able to attend the memorial service, but I’ll be graduating from Lincoln at that time. Sorry for not being able to be there, but I hope it’s understandable.

    Thank you, Mrs. Pratt.

Mrs. Pratt made going to school fun for me as well as all of my classmates. She was one of few teacher’s that had a special way of connecting with students and I didn’t know a single person who did not enjoy her classes. I can only hope to become half the woman she was.

I knew Mary years ago when my husband and I sailed at Mark Twain Lake. Not only did we share a first name, but also a birthday month and day! Although we lost touch over the years, I will always remember her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to light up a room when she walked in. My husband John Cunning and I extend our deepest sympathies to Bud and the family in this difficult time.

I could not have asked for a better sister in law. My heart goes out to my Niece and Nephew for their loss. The kids and faculty at the school kept Mary going. She wrote emails about all of them sharing her battle with cancer. Rest my friend! I love you!

Mrs. Pratt was a wonderful teacher and a great mentor to her students. She was always positive and encouraging and kept a smile. She is dearly missed and my prayers and thoughts are with the family. It was a blessing to get to have shared just the time I had in the classroom with her. May God wrap His arms around her family and bring them peace.
