Patricia “Pat” Ryan McGinley, 78, passed into life eternal on July 19, 2004, while resting peacefully in her home with her family by her side. Services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at St. Therese Little Flower Church, 5814 Euclid, Kansas City, MO 64130. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Pat’s memory to St. Therese Church. A native of Kansas City, Pat was born August 6, 1925. Pat’s life passions were her nine children and her volunteer work at a local hospital and a Kansas City area Catholic church. Whether it was working as a scouting den mother, catering, or hosting a party for her children and their friends, Pat was there to make sure that celebrations in life went without a hitch. To her family and many friends, she was known as a caring person with a need to have a positive feeling surrounding her. Pat is survived by her sons and daughters, Frank James “Jim,” Thomas Jerome “Jerry,” Mary Elizabeth “Liz,” Eugene Patrick “Tuke,” Michael Stephen “Steve,” William Joseph “Joe,” Timothy Peter “Peter,” and Margaret Seton “Peggy”; her two brothers, Richard “Dick” and John Ryan; as well as her countless relatives, friends and volunteer companions. Pat will be welcomed into eternal life by her daughter, Anne Catherine “Anne” and brother, Timothy Ryan “Tim.”
