Rick Mackley

John Rickard ?Rick? Mackley died at his home in Columbia, MO on December 13, 2007. He and his twin, George Kenneth ?Ken? Mackley, were born at Bonne Terre Hospital, Bonne Terre, MO, on December 18, 1951, to the late Melbourne Fleming and Sylvia Mary Catherine Rickard Mackley of Farmington. Rick attended Farmington schools and graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO. He was employed by the University of Missouri for 30 years. He married Holly King of Columbia, MO. They had two children, Livia and Andy Mackley, both of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by eight siblings: Betty Yeager of Farmington, MO, Mary (Dr. John) Christy of Poplar Bluff, MO, Patti Patterson of Brookings, OR, Judy Butler of Farmington, MO, Ed Mackley of Sandy Springs, GA, Linda (Ken) Foreman of Rockwall, TX, Elaine Moore of Colorado Springs, CO, and George Kenneth Mackley of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by his foster family, the children of Hugo and Zelda Cozean as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Rick enjoyed his computer, his 1973 Roadrunner, listening to ?Moody Blues? music, traveling the U.S., watching movies and the festivities of holidays. The family requests that everyone wear blue jeans to the memorial service officiated by Rev. Trinity Mackley of Tampa, FL, at 4 p.m. on December 18, 2007 at the Christian Chapel Assembly of God Church, 3300 S. Providence Rd., Columbia, MO. Interment will be attended by family only. Memorials may be made to Livia and Andrew Mackley, (Memorial Educational Fund) 3800 Saddlebrook Place #303, Columbia, MO 65202.
