Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene West, 65, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2003. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 16th at Crossroads Baptist Church, 638 West Jefferson, Grain Valley, MO 64029. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church Building Fund at the same address. Ronnie was born November 25, 1937 in Buckner, MO to Charlene (VanDyke) West and Vermillion Earl West. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Wilkerson. He is survived by: son, Eric West; daughters and son in law, Cindy West, Wendy West Comens and Gary Comens, all of Kansas City, MO. Ronnie is also survived by sisters and brothers in law; Elaine and J.C. Grossman, Kathleen and Ray Bert Shick, Mara Louise Brenenstall, and brother and sister in law; John and Delma West. Ronnie had one grandchild, Isadora Comens and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Fort Osage High School and was employed by Fike’s Metal Corporation for twenty years. He then started his own machine shop in Bates City, MO where he has resided since. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing with his friends and family.
