Robert Tylar

Robert H. Tylar, 68, of Sedalia died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Bothwell Hospital. He was born November 13, 1938 in Sedalia to the late Homer and Marguerite (Knight) Tylar. On July 13, 1988 he married Mary McCurdy and she survives him of the home. Mr. Tylar is also survived by two sons: Alan Johnson of Kansas City and Robert Tylar of Green Ridge, one brother: Ronnie Tylar of Green Ridge, five stepchildren as well as thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Robert was a member of the Moose Lodge #3000, VFW Post 2591 and American Legion Post 642. He served twenty three years in the United States Coast Guard serving most of his time on the northeast coast of the United States, retiring in St. Louis, MO as an E7 Chief Petty Officer. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Hickory Point Cemetery in rural Pettis County.
