Sharon Evans

Sharon Kay Evans, 64, of Overland Park, KS, formerly of Kansas City, MO, died on August 10, 2005, at Saint Luke’s Hospital, from complications caused by a brain aneurysm. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W. 47th St., KCMO 64112. A reception will follow. Ms. Evans was born June 26, 1941, in Kansas City, to Alarik and Rose Marie Peterson. She graduated from Loretto Academy in 1959. After graduation, she worked for 3 years at the Homebuilders Association of America. In 1963, she joined the National Labor Relations Board, where she has worked for the last 42 years. She most recently served as Executive Secretary to the Assistant to the Regional Director. She was a dedicated fan of Elvis Presley and the 1961 classic film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She is survived by her two sons, Kenny James, 38, of Kansas City, and Marc Alarik, 37, of Los Angeles CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Sharon’s memory be made to the Shepherd’s Center of Kansas City Central, 5200 Oak St., Kansas City, MO 64112 (816-444-1121.)
