My mother Anna Margaret Fields who passed last January 18th at the Bluffs roomed across the hall from Sophia for a while and that is how I got to know Sophia. She was something else, at dinner when Julia would be helping her we really enjoyed Sophia, very expressive. I know everyone at the Bluffs loved Sophia. I am blessed to have known her.

When I think of Sophia I think of a warm rosy cheeked face, sparkling eyes, and wonderful expressions. I’m sure she was greeting with open arms and great joy when she arrived in heaven.

My grandma was everything a grandaughter could hope for. I have so many loving memories of our time spent together over the years. As a child we loved staying at her apartment because it meant endless hours of swimming in the pool. I especially loved her cooking. Every holiday without fail, she would prepare us traditional polish dishes. Grandma was a huge animal lover and I have many pictures of her enjoying our family pets. Grandma was beautiful on the inside and out. She was always patient, loving, kind, intelligent, and very curious as the world evolved into the technology era. Grandma always said she was ready to go be with God and we are filled with peace in knowing that she is finally in his divine glory.

God rest her wonderful soul. She still had fire in her all the way to the end. Her character and her kindness will live on with her family. She was so very blessed to have lived such a long and rich life… Special thanks and blessings to the wonderful caregivers for her. I am truly impressed by the love and friendship that surrounded grandma.. she will be missed but always remembered.

“Grandma” as we all called her, was such a loving, warm, person. I never had a conversation with her that wasn’t upbeat. She was a fighter & took life with stride. All the wildness she saw in me, never fazed her. Bless her heart and soul. Her love and tenderness lives on in her family. God bless each of you-Roger,Shelby,Debbie & Sheri. What a great legacy. She is smiling upon us now.
