Terri Ellis Smith says
Like so many others have said, I saw you every where when I was growing up.
I always wondered about you and why you walked everywhere. I always wondered why you seemed so sad.
I’ve told my children about you over the years as stories of home would come up. Grown now, I’m sure they will be able to add a name to one of the legends in my hometown.
The Legend of Thelma Shoemaker lives on, as she walks the golden streets of Heaven now.
Marianne Spratt says
In 1968 69, we didn’t know your name but would see you walk up and down Noland road.
We chose a name for you. We named you Walkin’ Annie’, not out of disrespect.
Now we know your name
MISS Thelma and you walk in Heaven along side my son. Give him my love please. We give you, ours.
