Velma W. Hunt, 93, Independence, MO passed away January 24, 2009. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Contributions may be made to Village Hospice. Velma was preceded in death by; husband, Harold O. Hunt; and adoring son, William (Bill) Hunt. She is survived by; daughters & sons in law, Judith & Ron Druse, Topeka, KS, Jane & Rick Bigham, Independence, MO; grandkids, Lori Dieckhoff & Jeff, Richie Bigham & Megan, Ryan Bigham & Ashley; great grandchildren, Carson Dieckhoff, Audrey Bigham, Lucy Bigham; and devoted caregiver of 12 years, Keli Waddell. Velma will be remembered for her love and devotion to her children & grandchildren. The family is rejoicing that she is now heathly and whole and with her family and her Savior, with no more pain or suffering.(arr. Heartland Cremation 816-313-1677)

Judy, My thoughts and prayers are with you and Ron and your family during this time. My grandmother was also 93 at her passing earlier this summer. As you say in the obituary, it can be a blessing that they no longer have to suffer. God bless you.
