Veronica Peed-Mackey

 Veronica L. Peed-Mackey, 83, of Kansas City, KS passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home from lung cancer.    Mrs. Mackey was born February 13, 1927 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Raymond & Hazel (Kirkpatrick) Peed.

 

Veronica had a 21 year long career with Ambassador Food service where she was a chef for Proctor and Gamble.  She had an intense love of horses and was an avid fan of Marilyn Monroe.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hazel, and a brother Frank.  She is survived by  a brother Raymond; son, Steve; daughters: Celeste Balwin and Marsha Estes; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00 am at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO  64133.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society and/or Kansas City Hospice.

    I’ll miss you Roni! Always loved you! Your relatives awaited your arival with open arms. Wished I could be with you all for the memorial service. I’m sorry I can’t. Hugs & Kisses. Dillon have great roots being born of her blood. She was a strong loving woman and she loved you very much.

    I love you so very much grandma! Thank you for all that you did for me growing up and still excepting me after the split of my mother and your son. I’m so sorry i could’nt make it up there one last time. I love you all with all my heart! Cook us a nice homemade meal in heaven
