Viola “Malsom” Base, born in Grove Kan., on 1-1-31, passed away on April 4, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Marie Malsom, one grandchild, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry, of the home; daughter Mary of NKC; sons Michael and Beth of Albuquerque, Martin and Karen of Terre Haute, Ind., Thomas and Cheryl of Acworth, Ga., and Timothy of Kansas City, Kan. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Vi loved to play bridge, dance and travel. She loved flowers, but wanted them while alive. So if you wish, make donations to St. Charles Debt Reduction, Shepherd Center of the Northland or the Kansas City Hospice. Visitation 68 p.m. Friday, April 13, and Funeral Mass 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 804 Shady Lane Dr., KCMO.
