Virginia Winters

Virginia Elaine Winters, 86, Overland Park, KS, (formerly of Liberty, MO), passed away on March 19, 2011 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, KS. Virginia was born to Carl and Beulah Fredrickson, on January 2, 1925 in Iola, KS. She attended William Jewell College, Liberty, MO, and University of Kansas. In 1949, she married Dr. Donald B. Winters who practiced veterinary medicine in Liberty, MO, for 35 years, and preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Winters, Leawood, KS, and son, Phil Winters, KCMO. Also, brother and sister-in-law, Dick & Kathy Fredrickson, of Lake Jackson, TX; grandson, Jason Winters and wife, Heidi; great grandchildren: Madison, Brandon, Casey, Ben, and Brooke, Independence, MO. A celebration of life for Virginia will be held Saturday, March 26, from 3-4 p.m., at Park Meadows Assisted Living Facility, 5901 W 107th St., Overland Park, KS.
