Virginia Reed

Virginia Reed, beloved daughter of Willard Frank Whitman and Thomasina Crooker Whitman, passed away on December 27, 2007 at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center. She was born March 4, 1925 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She graduated from Belmont High School in Belmont, Massachusetts. She studied at Fisher Business College in Boston, Massachusetts. Before her marriage, she worked for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and for the telephone company in Boston. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Ernest W. Reed. She is also survived by her children and their spouses Susan Reed and Jukka Siitari, Robert and Lauren Reed, Frederick Reed, and Nancy and Stephen Prantl. She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert Siitari, Natasha Siitari, Brian Abent, Noelle Abent, Molly Reed, Ryan Reed, Samantha Prantl, and Robin Prantl.
