Wilma Myers

Wilma L. Myers, 92, Raytown, MO, died peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2005, at the Hidden Lake Care Center with her three surviving sons at her side. Mrs. Myers had moved from the Pecan Plantation, Granbury, TX, to Bickford House in Raytown, MO, in 2002. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Acton United Methodist Church in Acton, TX. A memorial service has been planned for March 12 at 1 p.m. at Missouri Funeral Care in Raytown, MO. Wilma Leola Kramer was born in Syracuse, NE, on January 22, 1913. She married Gilford C. Myers on May 12, 1935, in Stafford, KS. Gilford “Gil” died in Granbury, TX, on June 1, 2001. Gil and Wilma were preceded in death by son Kurt in December 1998. Gil and Wilma Myers owned and operated Myers’ Ice Cream, Myers Nursery, and Evergreen Mobile Home Park in Dodge City, KS, until retiring. They lived for a short time in Ft. Worth, TX, then in Colorado Springs until moving to the Pecan Plantation, Granbury, TX, in 1991. Mrs. Myers is survived by sisters Marjorie Weberg, Denver, Ruby Schoenith, Colorado Springs, and three sons, Evan, Kansas City, MO, Phil, Granbury, TX, and Ray, El Dorado Hills, CA; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many friends.
