Alecia Athenas, 61, Kansas City, MO passed away May 16, 2014. A visitation will be held 7-8:30 PM, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133 and a funeral service 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Alecia was born Sept. 15, 1952 to Joseph E. and Juanita P. Athenas in Denver, CO.
She was a cheerleader, In the high school play. After high school she did some model work, became a sale representative for Athenas-Royal,
and became the first female representative for Fischer Electronics. Later after working in the service industry, Alecia owned her own night club.
She was a self taught, Chef level cook, for her friends and family. She understood contracts so well she wrote and negotiated with lawyer and government offices to save us all loads of money.
Alecia was preceded in death by her father, Joseph. She is survived by mother Juanita, brother Joseph E. Athenas, sister Lorelei Blair (Danny), 4 nieces, and numerous great-nieces and nephews and friends.
