Barbara Louise McLaughlin, 89, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away at her home on November 23, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned.
Barbara is remembered by her family: daughter-in-law Christine Carpenter; son and daughter-in-law Keith and Paula McLaughlin; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Sharon McLaughlin; son Jim “Boobie” McLaughlin; and daughter and son-in-law Terri and Kevin Krueger.
She was a grandmother to Jeremy, Molly and Madeline McLaughlin; Alec and Shelby McLaughlin; Courtney Hopper; Kaylee Ball; Jonathan Knotts; Daniel Brumitt; she was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jase, Kendall, Lucas, Emma, Jayden, Ava, Olivia, and Reed, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory. Let’s not forget her beloved fur baby, SMOKIE.
Barbara was preceded in death by her former husband, James H McLaughlin, and her son, Mark D McLaughlin.
Her family will hold her close in their hearts, grateful for the love, humor, and strength she shared throughout her long life.
I’m so sorry to hear about Barbara’s passing. She was a fixture in the neighborhood. Barbara always watched out for my Mom, and was there to help with stray kittens. She had a heart of gold.
We shared a mutual dislike for fallen leaves at the curb. I cleaned them yesterday, not knowing she was not there. She will be missed in the neighborhood. Her neighbor on the East.
Sorry to hear about your mom passing it’s hard I lost my mom in 2009 still miss her god bless your family
