Beverly I. Hess

Beverly Ilene Hess, 72, Raytown, Mo passed away February 2, 2018.  A memorial gathering will be held from 10 AM to Noon, on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo 64133. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hope House.      http://www.hopehouse.net
Beverly was born February 16, 1945 in Harvey, Illinois to Joseph and Dorothy Taylor.  She grew up with her 5 brothers and sisters in Oak Forest, Illinois.  After vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks for many years, the family moved there and owned and operated a resort in the Bagnell Dam area.  On March 7, 1967 she gave birth to her daughter, Donna. Even through trying times, she was a strong resilient woman, loving mother and supportive sister and friend.  On July 12, 1975 she married her best friend and soul mate, Roger, and began her “Happily Ever After”. Several years later Beverly and Roger moved to Illinois to be near their daughter and other family members. In 2001, she and Roger moved once again to be closer to their daughter and welcome their grandson, Mason, whom she adored, into the world. For the next 16 years she devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who always had an opinion to share. Her door was always open to family and friends, especially in times of need. Although she will be greatly missed, she leaves us all with many warm loving memories.
Beverly is survived by her husband Roger, daughter Donna, grandson Mason, sisters Carol and Vicki, brother Bill and many beloved nieces and nephews.

    Bev,
There aren’t enough words in this world to explain how much I will miss you. My heart is full of happy and sad memories that I shared with you and Roger. I lost a beautiful and wonderful sister and friend but God gained himself a true “Angel!” Wait for me at the gate and we will walk in together. Love you

So very sorry to hear about your sister Bev. I know how very close you were to her. You talked about her All the time. Jeff and I send our Deepest Sympathies to you and your family. May God’s hand comfort you knowing that she is in a much better place and that you will be re-united with her and as you said” we will walk into Heaven together. What a Beautiful sight that will be and just imagine the re-union you two will have as if you never were apart. May God’s Blessings comfort you. If there is anything that you need, please do not Hesitate to let me know. Love you my friend.

Aunt Bevie, not living in the same state as you and Uncle Rog, it’s hard to really comprehend you are gone. You have ALWAYS been the one in the family to keep an eye on everyone else…one only had to talk with you to get the updates on the rest of the family. You were an anchor for me when I lived with you and Rog and Donna my last year in Missouri in eighth grade. You were the voice of reason (no sugar coating by Aunt Bev) and put things into perspective honestly every time, which was and is such an admirable trait. I am going to take comfort knowing your spirit is already with Jesus and you will be there with open arms for the rest of us you leave behind, when our time comes too. I love you, Aunt Bev. Lori

Bev was such a wonderful and caring woman. She made me feel welcome from the minute I became part of her extended family by marrying her nephew. She always had a smile for everyone and such a positive attitude through all the fighting she did over the past year. She was so tough and brave until the very end and will be truly missed. ??????????

    Aunty Bev,

You will be so very missed. My childhood is filled with so many fun and awesome memories growing up from the lake and beyond. You were always very supportive of me and the boys and we never went too many hours with out great laughs when you were around.
I am very thankful I was able to see you in the hospital before I left. I got one smile out of you and knew you knew it was me. Hope you are looking down on us and know you are missed and we all love you very much!!!

Rog, Donna, Mason and Vicki … You’ve lost a great wife, mother, Grandma and sister and I’ve lost a beautiful sister-in-law! We know she no longer struggles to live and she’s with all those that passed before. God bless her and our family as we get used to not having her with us! RIP Love you Bev … you are missed!
    Love to all! Vicky

Viewing the video was for me very sad, thinking back at all the things that Bev and I used to get up. She was a great childhood friend. I wish I had stayed in contact with her and all my relatives as I got older. There were even a coupe photos of my family visiting back in the early 50’s when Effie was still alive. I know she went thru some real struggles lately and she’s in a better place now, in no pain. So Bev RIP you are missed by many.
