Candi was born in Independence, MO on February 19, 1951. She graduated from Raytown High School in 1969. She studied Journalism at Longview Community College for 2 years. She then went on to graduate from College of the Ozarks with a Master’s Degree in Education. Candi was married to Cheryl K. Snead on September 28, 2024; they were married 9 years. Candi taught school for several years in Crane, Missouri, then worked as a bookstore manager for College of the Ozarks for many years. After returning to her hometown of Raytown, Missouri, she worked at Unity School of Christianity until retirement.
Candi had an amazing love for words, and one never knew what crazy new word she would be using. She authored many articles and poems which were good enough to publish, even though she chose not to. She just loved the words. She enjoyed crocheting, photography, watching sailboats, and viewing the Lord’s creations of nature. This love for nature could be seen in her collections of wolf and elephant pictures. She was also actively involved in K.C. Women’s Choir.
She is preceded in death by her mother Maryonne E. Jepson and father Mathew L. Jepson.
Candi is survived by her wife Cheryl K. Snead; siblings Michael Jepson (Diane), Garry Jepson (Terry), Douglas Jepson, Patricia Spencer (Mike), and other family and friends.
