Carol Ann (Martin) King of Tonganoxie, Kansas, 68 years young, left this world on March 29, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 1st, 1953, at Bethany Medical Center to Maurice and Frances Martin. She attended Washington High School in KCK, then went on to Kansas City Kansas Community College where she received her Associate Degree in Science in May 1993. She worked as a respiratory therapist at Bethany Medical Center, other medical facilities and Olathe Medical Center, until retiring with 37 years of experience. She married her husband, John King, on August 21, 1971, at Bethel Lutheran Church in KCK, and they shared 50 years of love. She was active in scrap booking, quilting, and she also bowled for many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband John King, her two children, Shelly (Chad) Kubicek of Shawnee, KS and Eric (Christine) King of Edwardsville, KS, her four grandchildren, Austin (Hannah) King, Chelsea King (Sam), Brandon Stebbins, and Matthew Kubicek, and her three great-grandchildren Leo, Noah, and the only girl Charlie. She is also survived by her mother Frances (Frans) Martin, three sisters, Janet (Mike) Wilkerson, Julie (Larry) Stephen, and Connie (Ron) Huffman, and a brother, Mike Martin. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Martin. She requested to be cremated.

Shelly, I want you to know how much I always enjoyed visiting with you and Carol every week. She was always so kind and interested in others. My heart is with you and your family at this difficult time.
Such a sweet and unique Soul. I can still see her smile and hear her fabulous laugh. I shall always remember her being the sweetest friend, cousin, wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Human being on this here planet. It is so true, that the good, do die young. Rest with heavenly peace Carol. John, we will join her before you know it. Until then remember her as I do. or better yet, as you do!

Eric, Shelly, and John. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. It saddens us that Carol left so young to be with the Lord. She was just a nice woman and loved her family dearly. Our prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

It doesn’t make sense to loose your wife and mother, ever! I am so sorry you have to live with the tremendous heartache, it never gets easier but each day gets a little better.

Always remember the good memories and laugh at the bad. Talk about her as often as you can and need to. Believe me, it helps!
I find comfort in knowing she’s (my Mom) not with me but always watching over all of us. Look for the little signs and you will find her. ?
