Carol J. Haines, 81, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on May 6, 2019 from complications of cancer. A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Mrs. Haines was born on December 2, 1937 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Carol graduated from Hutchinson High School. After graduating she went to Emporia State University for a teaching degree. In 1963 she married the love of her life, Keith, and started a family soon after. She spent many years as a homemaker as her children grew up. She later joined Keith in the arts and crafts industry before retiring. She spent her retirement with her husband traveling and enjoying an active life within the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Haines and parents Walter and Eloise Rayl.
Survivors include her son Brian (Shelley) Haines and daughter JoCarol (Christopher) Easley, grandchildren; Brooke Miller, Nicholas Easley, Zachary Haines, Dylan Haines, and Ashleigh Haines, and sister Connie Ratzlaff.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice or Aldersgate United Methodist Church for their Haiti Missions.
So very sorry to hear about your mom JoCarol and Brian. I truly enjoyed working with Carol here at Colonial Patterns. I just spoke with her last December and we had a very long and enjoyable conversation. I will always remember her laughter and fun conversations. RIP my friend. Sondra
It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye to a wonderful lady. Brian, JoCarol and families my deepest condolences go out to you all during this great time of sorrow and celebration of live of a wonderful christian wife, mother, Grandmother and friend. David and I are so sorry for your loss. We loved Carol and Keith and will miss both of them as long as we live. They were our family and will forever be in our hearts ?.
