Carolyn D. Benson, 74, of Columbia passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Memorial Services will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Community United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial of her cremains will be later in Woodbury, TN.  Carolyn is survived by her daughter Ashleigh (Jeff) Kendall, her son Robb Benson, her grandchildren, Jordyn Kendall and Jarred Kendall as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many adopted grandchildren who knew her as “Nanny”.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Central Missouri Humane Society.

    I did not know Carolyn and am not related to the Kendalls. I am sure many members of ESA did know her. As State Chaplin I want to extend sympathy to her family on behalf of Missouri Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

    I knew Carolyn when we joined ALPHA CHI forty years ago in Ballwin,MO. May God bless her family and friends.Thanks to Julie Whitaker for letting the sorority sisters know of her death.
