Carolyn DeVault, 87, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Memorial Service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd Raytown, MO. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00pm.
Carolyn was born April 2, 1936 in Mankato, KS. She graduated high school in Douglas, WY. On March 1, 1958 she married Robert DeVault and they had four children. Carolyn was very active in the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved her family. Carolyn was a lifetime Denver Broncos fan and was able to see the Denver Broncos win the 1998 Super Bowl in person.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Robert DeVault; daughter, Diane Bremer; and her parents, Glenn and Wilma Sleeper.
Survivors include: son, Daniel (Brenda) DeVault; son, James (Candy) DeVault; daughter, Janet (Mike) Kraatz; 5 grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Barber, Eric DeVault, Christopher (Jamie) Kraatz, Kelsey (Grant) Wheeler and John Bremer; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Lane Barber and Eleanor Kraatz.
You are in our thought and prayers we have wonderful memories of being together with our special cousin Carolyn when she came to visit us in California a giant hug your California cousins Pat. Mike and Judy and our kids love to all ??????
We all have fond memories of Carolyn. We were often with her and her family as children and as adults. Loved her laugh and sense of humor. An awesome person to be part of our “village” as we grew up. Such a wonderful friend to Orval and Margaret, even when they were miles apart. Orval enjoyed their talks over the past few years. We will miss her, happy she is at peace.
