Chip was my roomate in the 70’s. I lived through his transition to sobreity and we became good friends. We had many a deep discussion about politics, religion, and things of the weird. I bummed many a smoke off him.I called him about two months ago, and immediately reconnected. I was looking forward to seeing him again and catching up on old times. Now I guess I’ll have to wait. My condolences and everyone who knew feels a loss. Gary

I have fond memories of Chip as he was always a great audience to many of the antics that Tom, Nick, Charlie and I pulled. He enjoyed a good laugh and good music. He was a gentle soul, a compassionate listner and a trustworthy friend.
The last time I saw him was at Peter Pfeffer’s funeral and it was like time had not skipped a beat. We talked as if there had not been a 20 plus gap in seeing each other.
Condolences to all the Garesches. You have lost a good brother and we have all lost a friend. JC
