Charles Gregory “Greg” Green was born in Long Beach, California to Betty Neel Clark and Charles R Clark. After his three siblings were born, they moved to Charleston, South Carolina. Then Betty and the children moved to Laramie, Wyoming. She married Norman F. Green and he adopted the four siblings.
When Greg was in his late teens, he moved to Gillette, Wyoming to work in the oil fields and construction. His son, Timothy, was born first. Later, he had Dustin, Alex, and Zac.
Greg enjoyed motorcross with the boys and coached their basketball teams. He also enjoyed rock climbing. He climbed Devil’s Tower in Wyoming countless times and other challenging routes in several states.
Greg moved to Arizona before settling in Topeka. He enjoyed his grandchildren
He was an avid motorcycle rider and is a former member of the Affiliates Motorcycle Club in Gillette, Wyoming, where he continues to have close ties. Greg married Kristina because of their shared love of motorcycles. They had many wonderful adventures during the time they had together. Their last adventure took them to the Big Bike Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Greg also enjoyed fishing and bow hunting with his friends Marty, Loco, and Bill who will dearly miss him.
He is proceeded in death by all of his parents, and his son, Alex Green.
His survivors include his wife, Kristina Green, of the home; his siblings, Allan Green of Las Vegas NV, Cynthia Horton of Tacoma WA, and Tim Green of Lanesborough MA; his sons, Timothy Green of Becker MN, Dustin Green of Topeka KS, and Zach Green of Glendale AZ; step-sons, Frank Todd Jr and Timothy Todd both of Independence MO; and his grandchildren, Paisley, Addyson, Rheagann, and Zayden Green; Grayson, Maverick, Wyatt Green; Merrik, and Lettie Green; and Autumn Todd.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Greg on Saturday, November 22nd at 1:00pm at Community of Christ, Special Ministries Congregation, 1706 S Northern Blvd, Independence, MO 64052.
My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace and watch over his loved ones. My daughter, Misty Green, loved her uncle and has some great memories.
I’m so sorry that he left you so soon. I didn’t get to meet him, but seeing how happy he made you and the pictures from your trips made me feel like I knew him. May he continue to watch over and protect you always.
