Cheryl K Bridgewater

Cheryl K (Bachtel) Bridgewater, 67, Raytown, Missouri passed away November 18, 2021 at home.  A memorial gathering will be held 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation DONATION LINK

Cheryl was born April 28, 1954 in Lexington, Missouri.  Cheryl was known for her warm heart and frequent acts of kindness. She was multi-talented and strong-willed. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, baking and traveling. Cheryl retired as a Registered Nurse at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. After retirement she continued doing what she loved most; spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: mother, Frances Bachtel; father, Raymond Bachtel; sister, Mary Elizabeth Zaragoza and her beloved cat, Ketecat.  Survivors include:  brother & sister in law, Mike & Debbie Bachtel; brother, Scott Bachtel; daughter & son in law, Amy & Scott Etzenhouser; daughter, Mackenzie Beach; grandchildren, Terra Wisecup (Mark), Macy Phillips (Garrett), Mackaylee Beach, Hunter Beach, Lexie Beach; great grandchildren, Avalee Reign, Tatum Ray, Parker Kate and Boston Joel.

    Cheryl, my mentor and my friend, I will forever cherish our time together in the ICU at Sac-Osage hospital while I was going to nursing school. Thank you for all the times you helped me study for my exams and showing how to crochet. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and friends! Fly high dear friend!     Cheryl was one of the warmest souls I ever met. She was kind, beautiful, loving, talented, strong and loving. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family whom she loved dearly. I will truly miss her and was blessed to be her friend. Rest In Peace my dear friend!??
