Cheryl was born on February 12, 1957 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania to Clyde James Stangroom and Sarah Jane Stangroom Pearce. She was second oldest of six children.
Cheryl was preceded in death by father, Clyde James Stangroom; mother, Sarah Jane Pearce Stangroom; grandmother, Ethel Pearce; and sisters, Carla Stangroom and Cathy Ann Stangroom.
Cheryl gave her life to Christ at an early age and she loved the Lord. She married Glenn E Morris Jr in 1974. In 1975, she gave birth to her only child, a daughter named Kelley Lynn Morris. She loved her daughter, loved the role of being a mother, and dedicated her life to her family.
She lived in Pennsylvania with her husband and daughter until 1986. She then moved to Kansas City where she lived for many years. In 1996, she divorced Glenn E. Morris Jr. and never remarried. She enjoyed living her best life. Her hobbies included: baking her famous cookies, playing bingo, talking with friends on the phone, going to church, and helping people in need. Cheryl was a selfless woman who cared deeply for others and tried to carry out the work of the Lord in any way she could in her daily life.
Cheryl leaves behind beloved daughter, Kelley Lynn Haliburton and son-in-law John W Haliburton Jr.; granddaughter, Jeanya Lynn Glenn and grandson-in-law Lavaria Jermael Glenn; three great grandchildren, Nalayah Lynn Glenn, Lavaria Jermael Glenn Jr., and Patricia Lynn Glenn; sister, Cindy Cunningham Stangroom; two brothers, Clyde Stangroom Jr. and Clayton Stangroom.

She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Tiny; several nieces and nephews; three best friends, Sharon Brown, Jaunita Johnson, and Judy Nelson; and a host of other family members and friends not mentioned. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
