Chris Lavern Grafton, age 70, of Greenwood, Missouri passed away March 14, 2021 at home. A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Mo 64133. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 27, 2021 at May Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO.

Chris was born on January 4, 1951 in Raytown, Missouri to Patricia and Robert Grafton. He married his wife, Wanda, on February 22, 1992. Chris was the business development manager for American Excelsior where he retired after 30 years. He really enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. Chris also loved spending time with his niece and nephews and the many close friends that he had.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Patricia and Robert Grafton; grandfather, Lavern Russell; and brother, Robert Grafton.

Survivors include: wife, Wanda; sister, Kathy Lampkin; god-children, Max Boyd and Morgan Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

    I enjoyed working with Chris so much. He was always so helpful and so very kind. May God give you strength as you walk thru this most difficult time. So very sorry for your loss. He was truly a great person.

    Rest in peace Chris. I know all you boys are up there having a good time. Give my hubby a hug for me. Thank you for loving my children so much. Thank you for giving them so many great memories. You are so loved still and always will be.
    And thank you for being there when I lost Creek. I know you tried to help me. We look forward to the day we get to see you again.
