Clara Faye Sott

Clara Faye Whittemore Scott, age 91, Grandview, MO, passed away August 28, 2014 at Research Belton Hospital.  The memorial service will be held october 18, 2014 at 11:00 at Longview Chapel Christian Church, 650 SW Longview Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.  Clara was born September 17, 1922 in Columbus, Kansas, daughter of Clyde and Anna Best Osthoff. She retired from Bendix in 1985 after 34 years and was a member of Grandview VFW Post 8100 Auxilliary and Longview Chapel Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl F. Whittemore in 1976 and Elza R. Scott in 2004.  She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Kirby of Belton, Missouri and son Frank and his wife, Jennie Whittemore  of Kansas City, Missouri.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law Bonnie Joyce of Marietta, Ohio, two stepdaughters, Sherryl Kendall of Mooresville, Indiana and Sandra Scott of San Diego, California.  She has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family requests donations to Longview Chapel Christian Church or VFW Post 8100 in lieu of flowers.
