Dale Arthur Beck

Dale Arthur Beck, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away April 20th, 2022 peacefully at his home. Dale was born October 27th, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to parents Leo and Ladine Beck. Dale worked for the Social Security Administration for nearly 40 years before enjoying his retirement. Dale will be remembered for his sense of humor; his commitment to leftist politics and social justice; his passion for sports, music, and finding the best Mexican food in any city; his love of reading everything and writing fiction; and for his incredible height and kindness.

Dale was proud to be a tough old bird, and those he left behind are grateful for the years that toughness bought them to reconnect with such a wonderful person. Dale is survived by his son Jesse Beck and Jesse’s fiancée Jennifer Schmidt; daughter Corrina Beck and Corrina’s wife Lori Truelove; brother David Beck and David’s wife Tingting Beck; grandchildren Joel, Jackson, and Isabelle Beck; nephews Jonathan and Eric Beck, nieces Cara Beck-Goettge and Alice Shao; great nieces Elsie, Blair, Alexandra, and Avery; great nephews Anderson and Jacoby; three former step-children Tiffany Wallgren, Lindsay Kroll, Brandon Wallgren, and their families; numerous friends, including five of the best darn guys who ever met in college (Bo, Bob, Bush, Smith and Stagner) and his favorite ex-wife (Liz Beck); a handful of fantastic cousins; and a beloved cat (Trip).

Dale did not want a funeral, and instead wanted a party. A celebration of Dale’s life will occur Sunday, July 17th at 3pm, Fleming Park Meeting Hall, 21906 SW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015.

In lieu of flowers, please do something special with your children. They will remember it forever.
