David Neufeld

David Neufeld, 63, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Born on October 12, 1961, in Michigan, David was the beloved son of Joseph and Mary Neufeld.

A natural storyteller with a quick wit, David had a gift for bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. He was the family jokester—the first to lighten a heavy moment and the last to let anyone leave without a grin. He loved to cook and was always eager to try new foods; his long-held dream was to open a restaurant where he could share that joy with others. Professionally, David worked for many years as a machinist, a craft he approached with pride and steady dedication.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Neufeld. He is survived by those who loved him most, including his children; Crystal Sullens(Mark); Ben Neufeld (Krystal); and Alex Neufeld (Samantha); grandchildren, Julie Walton, Logan and Katie Neufeld, Viola and Wesley Neufeld; uncles, brothers, James Neufeld (Tammy), Mark Neufeld (Irene); along with extended family and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date (details to be announced). Visitation information will also be shared once arrangements are finalized.

David was truly blessing to know and take care of. He helped anyone he could to have a better day even when he was suffering in silence. A great man taken too soon. Watch over us Dave. Much love.

A hole you left sir, may you rest easy! You truly were an angel in disguise Dave! A blessing many didn’t get the chance to meet. But us, it was the greatest show we ran. It still stings, walking by your room and you’re not there anymore. Sending big ole hugs to heaven, say hi to my daddio and grams for me would you.
