Delores attended Southern University College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. Delores worked for the Kansas City Missouri School District (KCPS) as a teacher for over 30 years and then retired. Delores loved children and children loved her. She enjoyed teaching children and helping people. She was a warm, giving person and she helped anyone in need. She had a good heart. Delores respected people and she carried that in her character everyday. She always wanted to do the right thing and she instilled a lot of her beliefs into her son Mark Deamer, Sr. Delores was kind and gentle with people. Delores had the biggest heart anyone could imagine! She was a strong fighter. She has overcame lots of obstacles and she was a true inspiration of what it means to be humble, strong and consistent. You could always learn something from Delores with out a doubt. She was a very special person indeed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Mark L. Deamer, Sr.; his fiancé, Terria Zachary(daughter in law); one grandson, Mark L. Deamer, Jr.; one sister, Jerry Mae Haynes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Delores will be deeply missed.
Delores was my first cousin we called her Lo I was so sorry to hear of her passing and equally as sorry I will not be able to make it to her homegoing services. She will forever be a part of my heart and in my memory. We are two sisters children and was very close growing up. I am very proud of her accomplishments and I agree with everything said about her because it is all true. She will be sadly missed by her whole family and i know I can speak for the Family. with thanks to God for her life.
