Derrill Ray Hamby of Kansas City, MO, passed away on December 6, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Side Pockets in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Derrill was born on August 17, 1958 in Kansas City, MO. He loved college football and playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Hamby, and his mother, Frances Smith.
Survivors include his fiancé, Sharon Henneman; three sisters, Teresa (Ronnie) Kralicek, Paula (Eric) Funk, and Ronda Hamby; two nieces; three nephews; two great nephews; and two great nieces.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
We had not been in the same room for 20 years not spoken either and for this I’m very sorry. I wish I could have forgiven you for the petty reasons I thought were so important back then but, I was to stubborn and now your gone this is on me. I hope and pray you knew I loved you and I was so proud of you for turning your life around.
Some say I didn’t mourn your death but. You, God and I know the truth.
