Dorothy Jeanette Drury (DoDo), age 77, of Oak Grove , Missouri went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Dorothy was born August 27, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Kenneth and Mary Peachey. She married William (Bill) Dale Drury on March 2. 1966 . Dorothy worked at KU hospital as a medical coder, Shawnee Mission OB/GYN office as a office manager, and owned Gold River Auction with her Wild Bill (husband).
Dorothy had many hobbies, shopping, gardening, and traveling. Dorothy enjoyed being involved with school fundraisers for not just her own family but any child. One of her favorite times was to bake Christmas cookies with all her nieces, nephews , and grandchildren. Dorothy loved her family unconditionally and they were everything.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her husband William, parents Kenneth and Mary, her sister Edwina, her brother Kenneth (Junior), and son William (Bill) Jr.
She is survived by her children Cheryl Barnett-Linhardt ( Steve) of Blue Spring, MO, Douglas Drury (Brenda) of Oak Grove, MO, grandchildren Dustan Barnett, Dylan Linhardt, William(Billy)Drury III(Carlie), Ashley Easley, Ronnie Lacy, Kate Field(Bob), Cassidy Drury, Ginger Drury, Trevor Dunn(Carmen), Jeremy Dunn, Corey Dunn, great- grand children Parker Field, Caden Field, Poppi Drury, Christopher LaCount, daughter-in-law Melinda Drury, and many nieces and nephews who she loved and cared for deeply.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 10 am-11am. Funeral service following at 11am at Oak Grove Christian Church (118 SW 22nd St, Oak Grove MO 64075).
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Dorothy’s memory towards Oak Grove Christian Church.

To Dorothy’s family- my sympathy goes out/ I only recently saw shr was I’ll. I worked with her at our women’s clinic- such a nice woman and hood sense of humor- you will surely miss her.
To Dorothy and her Family, your Morher was a great friend, and a great trip buddie,, I will miss her very much. May she rest in peace ?
