Uncle Duane, I know you were my Great Uncle but you were also like a grandfather to us. I’m so grateful you were apart of my life including childhood. You used to visit all the time! We would twirl your hair and sit on your shoes as you walked around. You were so funny. Anytime we “punched” you, you would say shoo fly, or hold the other arm and say ouch! You loved Elvis and had to have your Coke! I miss you so much and think you were gone too soon. You deserved better and I hope you are no longer in pain and are smiling down on us. Love Always, Megan

Duane,
I haven’t stopped thinking about you. I thought everything was okay. You were the nicest person ever, and always putting family first. Always doing your best to help everyone. I’m still in shock about it because it’s so unbelievable. I’m glad you’re no longer suffering. I love and miss you so much.

Not a day has gone by that I don’t think of you. I miss you so much. It still doesn’t seem real. I still expect letters. I still have your number saved on my directory. These past years that have gone by with out have been tough. Thank you for every thing you have done for me and mine. I love you so much.
