George Graham, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born June 11, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Doris Vivian and Milton Ellison Graham. He had an older sister, Caroljean Lindley Schleicher, and a younger brother, Paul Ellison Graham. George graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1956, where he played center position on the high school football team, was co-captain his senior year, and made 2nd Team Kansas City & Honorable Mention ALL State Football. He graduated from Arkansas City Junior College in 1958, completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1971, his Master of Business Administration at Central Missouri State in 1975, and his Bachelor of Arts with minor in Physical Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1996. He served his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman 1st Class for four years from 1960-1964 and was last stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in California. He was a charter member of the Air Force Sargents Association.
George married Linda Mae Mallinson on March 30, 1968, and they had a son, Kent Alexander, and a daughter Stacey Lynn. They have lived in the Kansas City area their entire lives. He worked as machinist at Bendix starting in 1958 for thirteen years. He then became a staff buyer in 1971 at Bendix, which merged with Allied Signal and then Honeywell. He retired from Honeywell in 1994 and worked for Labconco for a couple of years. He was a substitute teacher in the Raytown and Kingsville school systems for the next five years from 1996 to 2001. He worked at Vector Tool & Engineering for next ten years before retiring in 2011. He was an avid sports fan and loved both participating and watching. He coached Raytown Little League & YMCA youth sport teams, helped organize and lead the USAF squadron sports program, played in the Raytown P&R Thirty and Over Flag Football League, and was the president of the Raytown South Booster Club. He loved to watch his favorite teams: the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.
George accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age 12. He rededicated his life to Christ at the age of 42 and on the same night, he saw both his son and daughter accept Jesus into their lives. He was a strong Christian and was active in his church, First Baptist Church of Raytown, now known as Connection Point Church. He served as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, a Royal Ambassador counselor, and served on recreation, stewardship, and capital campaign committees. George modeled the spirt of Christ and had a servant’s attitude toward helping others his entire life.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Milton and Doris, step-mother Hazel, son Kent, daughter Stacey, and sister Caroljean. He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home, his brother Paul and Vicki of Sebring, Florida, and many nieces and nephews and their families whom he loved as his own children all of his life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12th, at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary at the Connection Point Church, 10500 E State Rte 350, Raytown, MO, 64138, followed by the funeral 2:00 PM. Gravesite services will follow at Newcomer’s Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64133. In lieu of flowers George requested contributions be made for the upkeep of the Kent Graham Ball Field. Make checks payable to Connection Point Church. On the memo line, write “Kent Graham Ball Field.”
Dear Linda, my heart grieves with you and yet rejoices with George. He is with our Lord, your children, and many other loved ones. God has kept you here to continue serving Him faithfully until He calls you Home. I pray you will have His comfort, abiding peace and a deep sense of His presence to be your strength. George taught me the strings at Vector Tool so I could take over his position when he retired. He was always kind, friendly and got along with everyone. He was partial to his “box collection” at work and he always brought us Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen when returning from one of his daily deliveries for Vector. He was a very sweet man and he will be dearly missed. God bless you Linda and wrap his comforting arms around you during this difficult time.

Linda- we are so very sorry to hear about George’s passing. What an amazing man who lived well and loved well. The view he is experiencing right now is incredible- one that we all long for. Praying for you as you grieve well and cherish all your memories close.

George took me under his wing when I started at Vector. He would help me with anything that I needed, answer the phones, file paperwork and even pick me up some lunch or snack while out on Vector runs. He was a lot of things to many people and will be missed tremendously. My heartfelt condolences on your loss.
George was one of the strongest and gentlest of men. He was a rock for the ages. My condolences and prayers for you.

I will never forget his kindness and laughter in Mission Friends when I was a little kid. This news makes my heart sad.
I am not sure that you will remember me. We lived on 81st St. Jim and Bronna Lyon. I am so sorry to hear about George, He was a very nice man. Please know that I am praying for you and your family.

George was one of the good guys who will be remembered for modeling what was right. As a great father, friend, and youth coach, he will be missed by many of us.
Their home was always open to Kent’s boys. His son played a huge role in my life that guided me towards ministry. This family has made an impact larger than they will ever know. George always greeted us with a smile and with love. You’ll be missed!
I worked along side of George for many years at Honeywell. I learned a lot from George but what impressed me the most was that he lived an authentic Christian life never wavering in his faith. George was a kind man with a big heart and an infectious smile that made a real difference in this world.

I’m so sorry to hear of George’s passing, Although we did not know you we knew George very well for the past 7yrs, from Doughboys to Gingers. George loved my two girls and would quiz them, talk to them and tease them. He was very fond of my youngest Olivia and even signed her cast first, we had breakfast with him a lot until we moved from Raytown and even then we still came to Raytown and waited for George, we knew he had to have coffee with Linda first .. we will truly miss George and his love for my girls and especially Ooooooooolivia !! What a wonderful man George was !!
