Gerald Gaylord

You knew him simply as "Poo", a free spirit, giving and kind.   He found his greatest joy in helping others, spending time with his kids and grandkids, being in the Murry Woods and feeling the freedom of the wind in his face riding his Harley. He was a genuine Harley guy, riding the open roads since his teens, long before it was cool. He has ridden hundreds of thousands of miles, not just in fair weather, but year-round.   He enjoyed riding all different makes of Harley’s from his ’57 Panhead Chopper to his luxury trike and several in between. His lovely mate, Laurie, shared his passion for riding, hard work and giving to others. He may be described as a "gentleman", manly, but tender. He was mostly self educated, and a master of many skills of craftsmanship. Many of you reading this will know, because he built something for you too.   His huge collection of friends returned his kindness with care and love throughout his fight with cancer. His family is very grateful for their friendship and support.

He is survived by his honey Laurie Trask, his children Jerri Lynn Priebe and Amber Hoevener, grandchildren Christopher, Kytana and Alyssa Priebe and AJ, Abby and Jacob Hoevener , sisters Doris Bock, Dorothy Thompson, Sarah Baughman, brothers Donald Gaylord and LaVern Gaylord, good fatherly friend Sterling Kelley, several nieces and nephews and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his father Emmett, mother Beulah, sister Beverly and brother John.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at Alpine Park and Gardens on July 11 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.

The family suggests that instead of sending flowers; give to a charity of your choice or give some of your time to someone who needs a hand, generously, and with kindness. He would have.

Poo was a wonderful family friend who always had a smile on his face, whether you could see it through that beard or not. 🙂 He is already truly missed and will never be forgotten.
