Jan. 12, 1917 to Jan. 25, 2012
Born and educated in Buffalo, NY, Henrietta Dushay married the late John F. Yeldell making their home at G4, Lake Lotawana in 1945. “Hanky”, a lovely, bright young woman with great potential, selflessly chose to dedicate herself to their seven children, helping to prepare and send them all through college. She volunteered in many ways in her community and the Lee’s Summit school system. She provided a warm, loving nurturing home often decorated with flowers from her own garden. Henrietta was an excellent role model for her children displaying endless patience, having a loving, kind, honest soul, staying involved in her children’s education and activities, and being very open-minded with her fellow man. She was a faithful wife, an excellent mother and grandmother, a stylish and intelligent lady. Survivors include Tanya and Morton Mallory, of Blue Springs, MO, Lynn Yeldell, of West Palm Beach, FL, Debra and Stephen Wagner, of G4 at Lake Lotawana, MO, John and Beth Yeldell, of Olathe, KS, Amy and Mel Charles, of Houston, TX, Dr. Peter and Marlene Yeldell, of Columbus, OH, Berry Yeldell, of Wellington, MO; grandchildren: Tasja Mallory, C. Colby Thomson, Jessica Bahr, Jennie Hinterreiter, Joel Yeldell, Joanna Marsh, Alena, Deanna and Melanie Charles, Sean Yeldell, Colleen Yeldell; and four great grandchildren with a fifth on the way. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the Memorial Rose Garden at Lake Lotawana c/o Jackie Gammill, 18 L Street, Lake Lotawana, MO 64086 in honor of Henrietta.
