Irene Lucille Fowler (Beemer)
Irene Lucille Fowler was born on June 13, 1929, and passed away in her home on August 30th, 2025 surrounded by family and lots of love.
She was born in Cheboygan, MI in 1929 to Richard Leon Beemer and Hannah Pearl Beemer (LaLone).
Irene loved her family and friends and cherished all the time she could spend with them. She liked to work with her plants and was into genealogy and has boxes of CD’s with pictures burned on them. She loved her church family at the Community of Christ church on 39th Street and it saddened her when her health would no longer allow her to attend church on a regular basis.
She was born in Cheboygan, moved to Joplin, Missouri when she was 13 then went to Carl Junction, MO and finally to Independence when she was 18. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, most of them either in bookkeeping or office administration and she enjoyed all of them. She moved to Texas with the family around 1965, but returned in 85/86 where she worked in the membership desk at the new Sam’s Club in Lenexa. She semi-retired after working at Sam’s Club for 5 years then began working part time with Becky at CBIZ in the accounting department where she worked for an additional 3 years, finally retiring for good when she was 76. She married Dan Fowler in 1994 and after she retired, she and Dan settled down in Kansas City, Missouri in the Blue Summit area where they both enjoyed their retirement and visiting with family and friends and their various hobbies.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents: Leon & Pearl Beemer and Spouse Dan Fowler; siblings: (Irene was the last of all her siblings and their spouses) Clifford Charles Beemer, Richard Lincoln Beemer (Marlene), Donald Leon Beemer (Vicky), Earl Willard Beemer (Pat), Leona Pearl Galbraith (Leslie), Joyce Ann Coffman (Bob), Donna Faye Harley (Robert) and Nancy Lee Daniels (Danny); children: Larry Dale Cubbage, Michael Kevin Stine and his wife Doris, Leroy Stine and his wife Charlene; son-in-law, Micheal Lee Myler; nieces, Brenda Daniels and Janice Daniels; and grandson, Brenton Judson.

This lady! This kind, giving, caring, loving, wonderful woman, was like a second mom to me. There are not enough adjectives in the world to describe Irene. She was God’s great work bundled up into a tiny little package and was most definitely one of a kind. I have so many memories, from going to lunch with her, visiting her at her house, her birthday parties, to just random texts back and forth, just to talk and catch up. How many people in their 90’s could operate a cell phone like she could? She was determined, that’s for sure, and did an awesome job. She had words of wisdom that only a person who has lived through it all, could share. It didn’t matter the topic, you could talk to her freely; she did not judge, she just offered soft, spoken words to help you get through whatever you were going through. Oh, and throw in a little humor with it, because she was good at that! Irene helped me through the deaths of my brother and my mother, always there to lend an ear and to help me turn my tears into smiles.
Irene had a fierce belief in God, and I know that He kept her on earth for so long because He knew others needed her. Sadly, we missed an opportunity to get together earlier in August, but I know we loved each other very much and I am grateful I was able to spend what time I could with her in past months/years.
I am so sorry for your loss, Cindy, Becky, and family. Your mom was truly an amazing person. She will be dearly missed, and always appreciated.
Rest easy grandma. You will be missed and were loved By many!
