On February 21st, 2023, Jamal Walker Garcia unexpectedly passed away in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 53. Jamal is survived by his mother Janet Garcia of North Hills, California; his wife Heather; his children Andrew, Raiden, and Poseidon; his siblings Chris, Sean, George, Nicol, and Shannon; and many nieces and nephews. Those who predeceased him include his
father’s George Garcia, Kenneth Walker, Aunt Barbara Joseph, and Grandmother Nancy Walker.
Jamal Walker Garcia was born on March 19th, 1969, in Los Angeles, California. Jamal was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. This proud father will truly be missed. Memorial Services: There will be a memorial service in Kansas at the Roeland Park Methodist Church on March 11th, 2023, at 1:00 PM. There will also be a memorial service in California at the First United Methodist Church in Reseda on March 18th, 2023.
I am just now seeing that Jamal passed away. Jamal and I were friends back in the early 80s in the San Fernando Valley. We went to junior high school together. I moved away to New York in 1984 and seen or spoken to Jamal since then. I’m sad to hear of his passing.
