Jared James Crowe

Jared James Crowe, 38, Independence, Missouri passed away February 7, 2018.  A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri.

Jared was born September 16, 1979 in Osage Beach Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri, the son of Tina and James Crowe.  He moved with his parent to Independence, Missouri when he was a baby and resided in the Kansas City area the rest of his life.  Jared graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School and was a student of life.

He had a variety of jobs from factory work to sales, but he found his niche in the pawn business.  Jared worked for 14 years buying, selling and pawning everything from jewelry to firearms.  He was somewhat of a celebrity in the Independence area where he was frequently recognized while out in public.

Jared enjoyed reading, movies and video games.  His favorite hobby was buying and selling firearms.  He loved animals, especially, dogs, but any creature great or small was a gift to him.  Jared made friends easily and kept them throughout his life.  Anyone who knew him well, or even met him casually, experienced his wicked sense of humor and love of the sarcastic, satirical and ironic. No one was immune from his oberservations and hilarious commentary.

He was preceded by; birth father, James Crowe; grandfather, Jerry Jackson and grandparents, John & Deneice Crowe.  Survivors include; mother & step father, Tina & Michael Alewel, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; brother, Perry Alewel, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; grandmother, Kay Niebaum, Ft. Myers, Florida; aunt and uncle, Laura & Rodney Prall, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; cousins, Derek Fulte, Blue Springs, Missouri and Chelsea Prall, Warrensburg, Missouri.
