Jenna was born on March 18th, 2003, in Wichita Ks, at 12:04 am at Wesley Medical Center. She was the second daughter of Kimberly Hurst & Mario Garrett.
Jenna was a Senior at Belton High School in Belton MO. She loved school and always tried her hardest to make her teachers proud of her. She was an athlete with the Belton Special Olympics for many years and loved participating in sports with her friends. She was looking forward to Graduating and moving on to a Prader-Willi Group Home and start her career as a Service Dog Trainer. She was an amazing self-advocate for herself and others and took pride in everything she did. She adored all her family and friends, never had a cross word to say about anyone, she had a lively and spirited quality. Could always put a smile on anyone’s face.
She was preceded in death by her baby brother, Mason Garrett. grandmothers, Linnette Hurst and April Bergamo as well as her grandfather Sam Hurst.
Jenna Lin Garrett is survived by her Mother, Kimberly Hurst (Dan). Her Father, Mario Garrett. Best Buddy, Dan West. Brothers, Shane (Brooke) and Vincent Saiz. Sister, Sydney Garrett. Stepsister, Pamela (Adam) Kedish. Stepbrother, Joe (Lauren) West. Grandparents, Junior and Becky Garrett. Grandmother, Betty West. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.
In lieu of flowers Jenna would want donations to be made to Wonderland Camp at Rocky Mount, Mo. A non-profit camp for people with disabilities. She looked forward to attending every summer during Prader-Willi week.
I met sweet Jenna through my amazing coworker Kim. Kim would bring Jenna in the office and my 1st impressions of Jenna were her constant smiles and the best hugs!! She was just always in high spirits with lots of giggles. I am sure even the angels are weeping for the entire family for their loss.
Jenna touched the lives of so many at BHS. Her bright smile and daily visits will forever be missed. It was an honor and privilege to watch Jenna grow up and be a part of her school family. May you rest in peace, Jenna. I will love you always.
I was so sad to hear that Jenna left this world too soon. She was very strong willed which helped her self advocacy. She loved her social time and remember fondly her love of partipating in Special Olympics.
She had a smile that was welcoming and joyous.
I am blessed to have been able to work with her and her family.
May the perpetual life forever shine upon you Jenna, in Jesus’ name.
With Sympathy and Love,
Kathy Muder

Jenna was an amazing friend to me and my brother chevy. She always had a smile on her face every day when coming to school. But the most important thing is that Jeena was loved by her family and friends and teachers at Belton High School And she will also be missed by her special Olympics team.
Kim and Dan I am so sorry to learn of Jenna’s passing. Having chatted with her in the office several times she absolutely brought a smile to everyone’s face and she was always smiling and trying to make us laugh. Thoughts and prayers to all.
I’ll never forget the time Kim brought Jenna to my place of work.. I work in a long term care facility as an occupational therapist. It was such a joy watching her with the seniors in my facility. She hugged them all and they loved it! Her favorite thing was hugging them and pushing their wheelchairs wherever they wanted to go!
